Donna's Daycare was established in 2003.
What is your primary product or service?
Daycare/Childcare
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I worked as a social worker/preventive care worker for many years. I have always love working with children. I decided to open a daycare because I love to teach and I also wanted to spend more time with my children.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I would say that being a social worker has helped me to have more patience and understanding to everyone's needs. At Donna's Daycare it is a must that children receive their daily education. I interact with the children during their play time I play with them. I dont just watch them play. Most daycare in the area do not have the indoor/outdoor play space that we have. At Donna's Daycare, children run a play freely without the worries of making too much noise of breaking something. The yard is fenced and the outdoor is monitored by security camera.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
At this time I have one location.

I am located on South 12th Ave., in a private home. The daycare in located on the ground floor side entrance. This is a large 4 room apartment that is used for daycare purpose only. Donna's Daycare sign is located on the fence.
What type of payments do you accept?
Donna's Daycare accept DSS/Title XX, Union and other methods of payments.
Which areas do you service?
We serve Westchester County and the Bronx.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Donna Nelson is the owner and she is also the person that operates the program on a daily basis.
