Amadeus Conservatory of Music & Theater offers music lessons in all instruments and voice.
Celebrating 17 years of excellence in music education, Amadeus Conservatory of Music & Theater offers private instruction for children and adults of all ages. Private lessons are offered in piano, voice, guitar, drum set and percussion, violin, viola, cello, bass, clarinet, flute, saxophone, oboe, bassoon, trumpet, French horn, trombone and tuba. Theory and ear training classes are also offered.
Suzuki violin, cello and guitar are offered for children ages 4 – 7. Suzuki instruction includes private lessons, group classes and parent classes.
Musical theater workshops are open to third- through eighth-graders, and rehearse Saturday mornings in Chappaqua under the direction of Lin Snider.
For students interested in chamber music and jazz, coached string quartets, piano trios, and other mixed ensembles are offered for students covering classical as well as Broadway and popular repertoire. Jazz ensembles are open to middle and high school students who are interested in learning improvisation skills as well as ensemble skills.
Early childhood classes for preschoolers ages 3 – 5 offer young children the fun of learning to play music on real, one-eighth-sized instruments, including violins, ukuleles, recorders, bongo drums, accordions, xylophones and other percussion instruments, while incorporating movement activities and games.

How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Educated in both music and literature, Deborah Molodofsky, founder and director of Amadeus, received a Bachelor of Music, Magna Cum Laude from the University of Michigan School of Music where she studied with Paul Makanowitsky, the assistant of Ivan Galamian. She received a Master of Arts in English, Magna Cum Laude, plus a PhD (ABD) from Wayne State University, where she double majored in music and English studying with Mischa Mischakoff. Other notable teachers include Piotr Milewski, assistant to Dorothy Delay at the Juilliard School. She has also studied chamber music at the Mozarteum in Salzburg.

Amadeus faculty are highly dedicated teachers as well as internationally acclaimed performers, with advanced music degrees from Juilliard, Curtis, Yale, Eastman, Peabody, New England Conservatory, Manhattan School of Music, Mannes, Leningrad Conservatory and Moscow Conservatory, among others.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
The school has three locations: 201 King Street in Chappaqua; St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church at 382 Cantitoe Street in Bedford; and Rye Presbyterian Church at 882 Boston Post Road in Rye.
